Tech Article 12/13

An illustration depicts the possible extent of an ancient lake inside Gale Crater, where the Mars rover Curiosity landed on the Red Planet in August 2012. The $2.5 billion NASA mission set out to explore Gale Crater, which was thought to have once hosted flowing water. Curiosity found evidence of clay formations, or "mudstone," in the crater's Yellowknife Bay, scientists said in 2013. This clay may have held the key ingredients for life billions of years ago. It means a lake must have existed in the area.

NASA's rover Curiosity has now given scientists the strongest evidence to date that the environment on the Red Planet could have supported life billions of years ago.  NASA scientists announced in March that Mars could have once hosted life.  At Gale Crater, they found evidence that there was a lake of slightly salted liquid water.  Click here for full article.

Do Now 12/3

Twitter/Instagram is great for class.  Since most of us are usually on our phones all the time, this would be great. I don't know how we'll use instagram for this, but twitter is the best.  My opinion is that this will be great for all of us to use.  Maybe we can use one of the apps for our tech articles.

The Next IPhone Might Have a Curved Screen

A customer inspects an iPhone 5S at the Wangfujing flagship store in Beijing, China. This new IPhone will enhance sensors that detect different levels of pressure.  There will be two models, a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch.  They will curve downwards at the edges.  If this was to be made, it will be coming out next year.  I personally think that this will never happen.

Do Now 11/18

Things that ignite my desire to help make the world a better place.  If I see homeless people on the sides of freeways, I sometimes feel like  doing something.  If you heard of Matt Rojas's sock drive for the homeless, well I donated socks and that's how I help.  My life goal is to help my community, by numbering the house numbers onto the curb.

Do Now 11/11

As you may know, the Philippines were attacked by a devastating typhoon.  They were also attacked about month ago by an earthquake.  The US was going to bring food there from after the earthquake and now we have to send even more supplies after this.  People said that maybe a 100 people died during this and now there might be 10,000 people dead.  We see that mother nature is an amazing thing.

wiki post

Wiki can be used in the classroom, by organizing group projects, collecting data and peer editing.  These would help in any class.  The benefits of using a wiki is to make groups, edit pages and to look up different things.  If we were to use wiki in this class, we would all make our little edits to it and I think we would remake the wood-ridge high school website.  I've never made a wiki website.

October 28, 2013 Do-Now

If I was invisible, I would go into each one of the teacher's computers and give everyone an A.  I wish.  I would love to help people in need.  If I saw a person being robbed or someone about to be hit by a car, I would help them.  I would help try to find a cure for cancer or one of those dangerous diseases.
For bad deeds, I would do many bad things, I think everyone would do that.  I can't really think of any good deeds, but if I was right now, a million things would go through my brain.
