9/20 Tech Article

Imagine having one cell phone for the rest of your life.  Dutch designer Dave Hakkens dreams of making a cell phone that can replace any broken piece on your phone with a new "blok".  If you have a cracked screen, all you have to do is just unscrew the bottom of your phone and pop it right off and put a new screen on.  This will aim to reduce e-waste.  Just think of it as lego pieces, you can put them anywhere on the grid.  This is just an idea right now, but I think this will be a great phone.
What does 20 million tonnes of electronic waste look like? Well, it looks something like a large container train full of decaying technology stretched all the way around the world. Every year we dispose of at least that quantity of 'e-waste' and our phones are one of the biggest causes. The solution? Phonebloks -- the mobile phone you'll never need to throw away.

Multi-Media Post

Ms. Forsyth is the history teacher in  my school.  She seems like a great teacher at the moment and is very nice.  I really don't know much about her, since this is my first year with her.  The only thing I know, is that she is married and has two dogs.  I expect to learn all about ancient times, like the renaissance.  Her grading policy is pretty good I think.  Her thing is 10% for homework, 10% for quizzes, 40% for test and 40% for projects.  I'll have to do pretty well on tests than on quizzes.  I don't know of any projects or class trips as of right now.  I would use technology in this class by looking up people of the past and the facts about them. This is her website This is for the you tube video

What September 11 Means to Me

September 11th is a day to remember those who fallen in the two towers 12 years ago.  I was only three at the time, but I remember being taken out early from my day care and seeing one of the towers up in smoke.  I watch those documentaries to hear the stories of how they got out and how they felt when the first plane hit.

Hello

My name is Jared and I'm a freshman.  My favorite subject is social studies.  I like to hangout with my friends and play sports. I play soccer, basketball and track. My favorite football team is the Giants.  I dislike spiders. Spiders are eight legged freaks of nature and if I see one in my house, I will burn down my house.
